Adrian is a dedicated criminal defence lawyer with a reputation for principled, determined, and effective representation of clients facing serious criminal charges. As part of a committed defence team, he acts for clients across a broad range of offences, including murder, serious violence, sexual offending, family violence, and drug-related matters.

In 2025, Adrian appeared as Junior Counsel alongside Senior Counsel in a challenging multi-accused murder trial in the Auckland High Court, involving five defendants. After an extended jury trial, all defendants were acquitted of murder, with manslaughter verdicts returned against only two of them—a result reflecting thorough preparation and skilled advocacy.

He regularly appears in the District Court and High Court and demonstrates strong courtroom performance and the ability to contribute meaningfully to successful defences in difficult cases.

Adrian maintains a deep personal interest in criminal justice, human rights, and prisoners’ rights. He is known for his careful, client-focused approach—working closely with colleagues to achieve the best possible outcome through thorough preparation and strategic advocacy.
