Name Suppression
Publication of your name or your family’s name can be devastating, particularly in the age of social media where information spreads rapidly.
When you are charged, you have the presumption of innocence. You may have done nothing wrong, but your name could be tarnished for life.
If you are charged with a criminal offence for the first time or you have particular concerns about your name being published in the media, our criminal lawyers will assist you with an application for name suppression.
This application must be done before your name is published anywhere. We will assist you in applying for name suppression on an interim basis. After that the Court will require further information to continue name suppression.
